The jewel of the comune is Corenno Plinio, a tiny fortified medieval hamlet stacked on a rock above the water. A stepped stone square climbs from the lake past old houses to the church of San Tommaso di Canterbury and the battlemented Andreani castle. Recognised among Italy’s most beautiful villages, it is an unmissable short stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
