Einige D\u00f6rfer am Comer See besucht man; durch Urio schl\u00fcpft man hindurch. Es ist eine der kleinsten Ortschaften am Westufer, ein verstreutes Arrangement aus H\u00e4usern, G\u00e4rten und Bootsh\u00e4usern zwischen dem aus Steinen erbauten Moltrasio und den Prominentenvillen von Laglio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier gibt es kein gro\u00dfes Schauspiel, und genau das ist der Sinn. Urio ist der See von seiner gew\u00f6hnlichsten und unaufgeregtesten Seite \u2013 ein Ort, um das Boot langsamer fahren zu lassen, nicht um einen Tag zu f\u00fcllen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eine kurze Geschichte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wie seine Nachbarn wuchs Urio als Fischerdorf an der alten Regina-Stra\u00dfe, dem antiken Weg, der sich am gesamten westlichen Ufer entlangzog. \u00dcber die Jahrhunderte hinweg kauften die Wohlhabenden aus Mailand und Como die Ufergrundst\u00fccke f\u00fcr Villen und G\u00e4rten auf, und das Dorf nahm jenen ruhigen, gepflegten Charakter an, den es bis heute bewahrt hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wo Urio am See liegt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Urio liegt am Westufer des Comer Arms, wenige Kilometer n\u00f6rdlich von Cernobbio, zwischen Moltrasio im S\u00fcden und Carate \u2013 mit dem es die Gemeinde Carate Urio bildet \u2013 sowie Laglio im Norden. Urio’s parish church, dedicated to Santi Quirico e Giulitta, stands among the houses above the shore, rebuilt in 1865 on a Romanesque original. Like many on this stretch of the lake, it rewards a quiet look inside before you move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
